My name is Gabriela Morini Rijken. I am a yoga teacher and a freelance communication consultant. I live with my husband Cornelis, a dutch sculptor, in Casola Valsenio on the Apennines. We both love nature and we found our paradise in Porcaticcio di Sopra, our home.
I am teaching Yoga in Casola Valsenio Palestra Dinamica, Faenza School of Santhi and Imola E.P. Jim.
I also co-operate with Marije‘s summer retreats (Absolute Yoga Amsterdam).
Vinyasa style is really fitting with the sense of body harmony and beauty. Flowing from one asana to another with correct breathing helps concentration and body-mind connection. Hatha postures, kept steady, increase awareness of prana, the life energy in our body. Kundalini practices open a door to experience chakras, our energetic centers and prepare gradually to a deeper stability of mind and higher levels of consciousness.
My yoga practice started a dozen years ago. I began with Power Yoga lessons and I discovered a different approach to movement, balance, stretching and strength. The quality of breathing turned out to be essential and one with the state of mind.
I attended the Yoga Teachers Training of Françoise Berlette (EFOA) on Asana and Kundalini and workshops of Swami Santhiprasad (School of Santhi).
My studies are also based on BKS Iyengar, TKV Desikachar, Yogananda, Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo, J. Krishnamurti, Satyananda Saraswati and their commentaries on classical Yoga texts.
